Lauth announces the City of Carmel's newest mixed-use development in the Arts & Design District
Carmel-based Lauth Group, Inc. has begun site work on the 1ST ON MAIN mixed-use development project. Located on the former PNC Bank branch/Lot One site at Main Street and Range Line Road, the project will feature:
- 310-space parking garage with public access
- Four-story, 73,000 SF Class-A office building with first floor restaurant space and a private rooftop terrace
- 8 luxury condominiums ranging in size from 3.000 SF to 3,340 SF
- 35 luxury apartment units
- A community gathering plaza featuring the City’s Rotary Clock
- Activated gathering areas within the site

Mayor Brainard participates in Honor Your Hometown project
Mayor Brainard was thrilled to be a part of a nationally-acclaimed Honor Your Hometown video project with Ken Burns and Marty Stuart that features many famous faces talking about their hometowns. After the launch yesterday, the effort was covered by the Today Show, CBS This Morning, USA Today and others. Carmel City Council and Mayor Brainard recognize Carmel employee veterans
In a show of support for employee veterans, Carmel City Council and Mayor Brainard will present a proclamation at Monday's Council meeting recognizing the sacrifices that our employee veterans and their families have made in service to our country.

Volunteers with loads of holiday spirit, needed!
Carmel's biggest holiday event, the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, is actively recruiting volunteers to help with a number of positions at the Market. More than 300,000 attended the most recent market in 2019 and it was voted the No. 1 German Christmas Market in North America by USA Today. This is your chance to help the City of Carmel put on its best face for so many visitors. Here is what the Christkindlmarkt needs:
· Greeters · Photo Takers · Survey Administrators · Volunteer Services · Kinderecke support (children’s activities) · Docents – for people who have a real knowledge of German culture, heritage and holiday traditions
The Docents position requires a password so interested persons should email: volunteers@carmelchristkindlmarkt.com.

Carmel Fire Department annual Community Assistance Program kicks off
The Carmel Fire Department is gearing up for its annual Community Assistance Program. Each year, in partnership with the Hamilton County Good Samaritan Netowrk, CAP strives to ensure that families in need within Carmel-Clay Township are provided with food and gifts for the upcoming season. Details are on the flyer below, including easy-to-use QR codes.

Carmel Utilities water meter change-out - where are we now?
Carmel Utilities has begun replacing aging water meters across the community with new, enhanced equipment allowing for more accurate readings and better water efficiency. In the next few weeks our Carmel Utilities & Envocore - RTS Water Solutions install teams are scheduled to be in the following neighborhoods:

Traffic and construction news

111th STREET & COLLEGE AVENUE ROUNDABOUT Construction of this new roundabout began on October 11 and will be completed by the end of the year. Alternate routes during this closure include Pennsylvania Street and Keystone Parkway as well as 116th Street and 106th Street.
DUKE TRANSMISSION - VETERANS WAY The Duke Transmission line project along Veterans Way will be ongoing throughout 2022. There will be a closure of Veterans Way and Main Street for 30 days in the spring.
FROM HAMILTON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
116TH STREET OVER WHITE RIVER - BRIDGE 160 - EAST OF RIVER ROAD Please be advised, a traffic shift to the north side of the bridge has begun and will remain throughout the remainder of this project. The estimated project completion date is Monday, November 15, 2021.

Carmel City Center to host holiday preview shopping event
Join the Shops at Carmel City Center on Saturday, November 6 from 2 - 6 p.m. for a Holiday Preview Shopping Event! Visitors can kick-start their holiday shopping with the locally-owned merchants at Carmel City Center while sipping on wine and Peppermint White Russians at four of the participating Shops.

Movies at Midtown Saturdays through December
Head to Midtown Plaza for Allied Solutions' Movies at Midtown! Movies will run on Saturdays through December. Show times are noon, 3 and 6 p.m.
November 6 - Shark Tale
Hand sanitizer stations are still available throughout Midtown Plaza and please don't forget to clean up your surroundings once you've enjoyed the movie. Be sure to follow Midtown Plaza's Facebook page for all events.
