April special gallery exhibits include:
Carmel Art on Main
April is all about color and spring! The front room features Ladan Abbaspour and Sara Bernstein. Abbaspour is known for her colorful abstract work and loves to create different types of textures in her paintings. Bernstein is a fluid acrylic and epoxy artist and native Hoosier who describes her colorful pieces as being "intentionally unintentional" as they challenge her to go with the flow of the medium. Carmel Art on Main is also proud to announce being the only local supplier of the popular Romy and Clare pottery, featuring colorful and beautiful canisters, spoon rests, platters and other pieces to brighten your home. (111 W Main St.)
Carmel Arts Council –

Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery
Imagine a sloth doffing a fishing hat, a frog decked out in a bow tie and top hat, or a long-eyelashed giraffe draped in jewels. Whimsical, yet realistic, these cartoon taxidermy sculptures made of paper clay bring a smile to anyone who sees them — exactly as mixed-media artist Wendy Simon intends, as she sprinkles a little cartoon into each one. Simon, an Indiana Artisan from Frankfort, IN, will demonstrate her sculpting techniques as she brings a new cartoon creature to life. (22 N. Range Line Road)
