Road Closures Needed for Annual Street Rehabilitation Work
ST. CHARLES, Ill. (July 3, 2025) - The City of St. Charles 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project will improve 13.8 miles of roadways throughout town. Most roads will be milled and resurfaced with only minimal traffic impacts. However, some streets will need to be temporarily closed for complete reconstruction, which includes pavement milling, road base removal, new stone, fresh oil, and two layers of new asphalt.

Williams Ave. from Midway Ave. to Ronzheimer Avenue: Closes Monday 7/14/25 for approximately five days

Lucylle Ave. from Jewel Ave. to Pleasant Ave. & from Pleasant Ave. to Moore Avenue: Closes Wednesday 7/16/2025 for approximately four days

N. 3rd Ave. & Johnor Ave. from N 5th Ave./IL Rte. 25 to Marion Avenue*: Closes Monday 7/21/2025 for approximately 10 days
*Bicycle and pedestrian access to the Fox River Trail will be maintained during the construction.
The City has contacted all residents on streets scheduled for work.
