143rd Street East Extension
Concrete paving of 143rd Street, between Naperville Road and IL 126, will continue on Monday, June 1. There are several thousand cubic yards of concrete involved in this work. As a result, the workday is longer than usual. The newly poured concrete will need to have control joints saw cut into the surface. The saw cutting work will occur overnight as soon as the concrete can support the equipment and manpower. This work will take time and is by its nature, loud. The Village appreciates the patience and understanding of the surrounding property owners while this crucial work takes place. |

Pavement Program
The Village’s contractor is scheduled to begin work on the Pavement Crack Fill Program. The contractor will fill asphalt pavement cracks with a fiber modified crack fill material to prevent water infiltration, thus preserving and extending the pavement life. Work will occur throughout the community including 119th Street between Route 30 and Normantown Road; Renwick Road, east of Drauden to the railroad tracks; and Van Dyke Road, from 135th Street to the railroad tracks. Please drive carefully and be patient in work zones. |

To complete the work, Caton Farm Road will be reduced from two lanes to one in both directions. The project is anticipated to be completed in August. The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Alternate routes are encouraged. More information. |
