Village of Plainfield E-News Updates - 7/25/25

Unfortunately, due to the forecast of more rain this afternoon and evening, tonight's showing of The Wild Robot in Settlers' Park has been cancelled.

The Village’s contractor began work on the Sidewalk Trip Hazard Removal Program. The project consists of removing sidewalk trip hazards by grinding the concrete. Work is planned for the Creekside Crossing (Units 1 & 2), Hidden River, Arbor Place/Ashbury Farms, Renwick Pointe, Heron View Estates, Farmstone Ridge, and Heritage Meadows (southeast section only) subdivisions. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.

Jump in for a night of fun! If you are entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in District 202 and participated in D.A.R.E., join us for the annual DARE Pool Party.

Next week, the contractor will continue work on the Fletcher Lake retaining wall, DuPage River embankment, and curb and storm sewer work. They’ll also begin paving on IL 126 and 143rd Street, resume beam installation over the DuPage River, and switch IL 126 to a new traffic configuration. During this upcoming stage, traffic will be shifted to the newly constructed pavement. Project website.
