River Restoration Project
RES continued installing in-stream structures this week, including stream barbs, root wads, and brush boxes. A combination of harvested material recycled from other construction sites and new riprap stone comprises these in-stream features. These structures will provide habitat and refuge areas for small fish, as well as concentrate flow toward the center of the DuPage River. RES will be off-site the next two weeks for the holidays and will restart work the week of January 6, 2025. Project website. |
