Village of Plainfield E-News Updates - 8/30/24

Interested in learning more about the upcoming construction projects at the Plainfield Riverfront? 
Join the Village and Lower DuPage River Watershed Coalition (LDRWC) on September 5, from 5-7 p.m., at the Riverfront Open House at the Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street. A formal presentation regarding the projects will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Removal of the bridge deck was completed this week. The contractor will work on removing the bridge bearing and performing various structural repairs next week.
Please follow the posted detour for 127th Street or use an alternate route. Your continued patience is appreciated.

Dual culverts under the Indian Boundary Road Bridge were removed this week and the contractor began formwork for the new culvert. The concrete slab for the new culvert is scheduled to be poured next week.
Indian Boundary Road will remain closed to through traffic between Rowley Road and Creekside Drive.

Crews finished installing the storm sewer on Lockport Street. Nicor will now begin any necessary adjustments of their gas utilities. On Eastern Avenue, crews are working on street light foundations and wiring. More information.
