Jump in for a night of fun! If you are entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in District 202 and participated in DARE, join us for the annual DARE Pool Party. Head to Ottawa Street Pool on Thursday, July 25, from 6-8 p.m., for swimming, pizza, and prizes. Click here to register by July 23.

Comprehensive Plan Open House
The Village is nearing the final stages of its update to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and is holding an Open House on Tuesday, July 30, to garner feedback on new exhibits for the plan created by the Village’s consultant, Houseal Lavigne. The open house is informal, stop in any time between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you and appreciate your input! |

Old Town North Roadway Reconstruction
Pavement removal is complete on Eastern Avenue from IL 126 (Main Street) to the railroad tracks. Crews are working to install new aggregate road base, curb and gutter, and asphalt pavement. Eastbound Lockport Street is closed from IL Route 59 to the railroad. This closure is expected to be in place until December 15. Please visit the Village website for additional information. |

Street Improvement Program
The Village’s 2024 Street Improvement Program is underway. The project includes asphalt resurfacing, removal and replacement of selected areas of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter removal and replacement, pavement striping, and other miscellaneous items. Overall project completion is scheduled for August. Location and project information can be found on the Village website’s Public Improvements page. |

Community Emergency Response Team
Do you want to help your family or others during an emergency or disaster? If your answer is yes, register for the 2024 CERT class which begins August 27. The CERT program is free and educates you about disaster preparedness, fire suppression, first aid, and more. For more information, email cert@plainfieldema.org. |

Senior Health & Wellness Fair
Residents are invited to attend the Senior Health & Wellness Fair on August 28, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, 15120 Wallin Drive.
