Evening with the Mayor
Join Mayor Argoudelis for Evening with the Mayor on Wednesday, April 12, at 5 p.m., at the Public Works Department, 14400 S. Coil Plus Drive.
This month's Evening with the Mayor will feature a presentation on the Public Works Department and upcoming construction projects.

Spring Cleanup
The Village and Waste Management will be sponsoring Spring Cleanup for Village residents during the week of April 10. Residents can place household refuse, bulk items (i.e. chairs, couches, and mattresses wrapped in plastic), and white goods (i.e. refrigerators, washers, dryers, and water heaters) at the curb on their regular pickup day. Old Town Project Update
Storm sewer installation on Lockport Street has progressed up to Eastern and the manhole has been installed. The intersection of Lockport and Eastern will be open today, April 7. Lockport Street continues to be closed at Route 59 to all eastbound traffic. For more information about this project and current road closures, click here. |

Mobile Food Pantry
The Northern Illinois Food Bank will be holding a Mobile Food Pantry at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 S. Route 59, on April 18 from 4:30-6 p.m. The Mobile Food Pantry provides healthy food to those in need. |

Medication Disposal
Residents can dispose of unwanted medications at the Plainfield Law Enforcement Center on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Community Blood Drive
There are still a few appointments available for the community blood drive on Monday, April 24, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., at Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street. All donations go to area hospitals to help those in need. Please make an appointment to donate by clicking here. |

Community Visioning Workshop
The Village is updating its Comprehensive Plan and needs your input! Join us on Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m., for a Community Visioning Workshop at Village Hall. During the workshop, attendees will identify priorities, issues, and opportunities in the Village and then participate in a mapping exercise to develop their vision for Plainfield's future. |

Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste collection has resumed. Brush, grass clippings, and leaves should be placed in brown yard waste bags or a Waste Management yard waste cart. Branches must be tied in 4-foot bundles weighing 50 pounds or less. Please note: mulch, sod, stumps, dirt, stones, and landscape brick/pavers are not accepted as yard waste. |
