The 2022 Movie Series, presented by Illinois American Water, continues with the showing of Encanto, sponsored by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., at 8:30 p.m. Special guests at the movie include the Plainfield Fire Protection District, Police Department, and Plainfield Area Public Library District. Street Improvement Program Update
The Operating Engineers Local 150 labor strike has ended and work on the Village's Street Improvement Program has resumed in the Heritage Oaks and Canterbury Woods subdivisions. The remaining roadway improvements are likely to continue into late August. Thank you for your patience. |

County Line and IL Route 126
The new traffic signals at the County Line and Route 126 intersection were turned on today and the intersection improvements have been completed. In addition to the traffic signals, dedicated turn lanes and pavement widening were included in the project. The Village's Transportation Plan identified this project as an important improvement in the region.
135th Street Railroad Crossing Closed
The CN Railroad is currently completing emergency repairs at the 135th Street railroad crossing. No access is allowed through the railroad crossing during the closure period and a marked detour route is in place utilizing US Route 30, 127th Street, and Van Dyke Road. The repair is scheduled to be completed by tomorrow with the road opened by 9:00 a.m. |

National Night Out
The Police Department is hosting National Night Out at Settlers' Park on Tuesday, August 2 from 5-9 p.m.!
Stop by and join in the fun! There will be bounce houses, a dunk tank, Touch-A-Truck, live music, giveaways, and free food!

Armored Truck Challenge

The Police Department's Armored Truck Challenge is August 2, in conjunction with National Night Out, at the Village Hall. The event benefits the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. For more information, visit the Village website.

Indian Boundary Road
Work in the Creekside Crossing subdivision (south of Renwick Road) is scheduled to resume August 8. This work will include the rerouting of Indian Boundary Road through the subdivision, similar to what was previously completed in the Creekside Crossing subdivision north of Renwick Road. A detour route will be in place to direct motorists to Renwick Road and County Line Road as part of the detour.

Evening with the Mayor is on the move! Bring your questions for the Village and join Mayor Argoudelis for Evening with the Mayor on Wednesday, August 10, at 5 p.m., at the Grande Park Community Park, 26333 Grande Park Boulevard. Please bring a chair. In the event of inclement weather, Evening with the Mayor will be moved into the Village Hall. |

Transportation & Mobility Plan
Community Emergency Response Team
The CERT program educates residents about disaster preparedness and response. This free, hands-on course includes classes on disaster preparedness, first aid, and search and rescue.
