Reconstruction of Wood Farm Road A portion of Wood Farm Road will be closed for reconstruction beginning June 1. The closure will run from the creek north to Persons Parkway. The developer will be installing curb and gutter to match the roadway along Patriot Square and the area south of the creek will be a rural section with ditch drainage. The remaining reconstruction areas will be completed utilizing daytime line closures while maintaining emergency vehicle access. The roadway is expected to be completed in early September. Energy Bill Assistance Programs Federal and state assistance is now available to help eligible customers pay past-due energy bills through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Will County Rental Assistance Program Will County, in partnership with the Illinois Housing Development Authority, launched the Illinois Rental Payment Program (ILRPP). ILRPP provides Emergency Rental Assistance grants up to $25,000 to landlords and housing providers with income-eligible tenants falling behind in their rent (30 days or more) due to COVID-19. Restore Illinois Bridge Phase -The State of Illinois is now in the Bridge Phase of the Restore Illinois Plan. This means increased capacities at restaurants, retailers, offices, health and fitness centers, entertainment venues, events, and more. Bridge Phase Details. -Please note: Everyone that is 12 years or older is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Will County Health Department is asking residents to schedule their vaccine via this link. Kendall County is accepting appointments through their Vaccine Appointment Portal. Many doctors' offices are also scheduling vaccine appointments.
