Restore Illinois Bridge Phase -Great News…The State of Illinois is now in the Bridge Phase of the Restore Illinois Plan. This means increased capacities at restaurants, retailers, offices, health and fitness centers, entertainment venues, events, and more. Bridge Phase Details. -Please note: Everyone that is 12 years or older is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Will County Health Department is asking residents to schedule their vaccine via this link. Kendall County is accepting appointments through their Vaccine Appointment Portal. Many doctors' offices are also scheduling vaccine appointments.
Will County Small Business Grant Program Will County recently announced Round 3 of the CARES Act Small Business Grant Program for Will County businesses adversely impacted by the pandemic. To date, Will County has distributed nearly $21 million in grants to 1,447 local businesses. These grant funds are available to help businesses still recovering from this public health crisis shore up their operations, rebuild their customer base, and restore solvency. Outdoor Dining in Downtown Plainfield Expanded outdoor dining is back! The Village installed the parklets this week so that the restaurants have additional outdoor seating. Be sure to visit your favorite eatery soon! |

Lockport Street Refresh Update A majority of the in-street work was completed this week along Lockport Street which included pavement removal and replacement at Des Plaines Street and Fox River Street. The crosswalks were also replaced and decorative street prints are scheduled for installation on Saturday. The contractor is currently working on removing and resetting the brick paver medallion on Des Plaines Street as well as completing the remaining landscaping items. Local traffic can now access the Lockport Street and James Street intersection.
