COVID-19 Updates -Will County has returned to Phase 4 of the State’s Restore Illinois Plan. Restaurants can host parties of up to 10 people, some indoor recreational facilities can reopen, and meetings and social events can return to a limit of 50 people. For an overview of Phase 4 guidelines, click here. -Now that Will County has returned to Phase 4, all Village facilities have reopened. -When outside your home, please wear a mask and socially distance.
Vaccine Information -The Will County Health Department is asking residents that are interested in getting the COVID-19 vaccine to complete this survey as part of their distribution preparation. -Kendall County has launched a Vaccine Appointment Portal and they are accepting appointments for phases 1A & 1B. Warming Center Extremely cold temperatures are in the forecast. Please remember, the Police Department, 14300 Coil Plus Drive, is available for those in need of a warming shelter. Anyone in need of assistance should call the non-emergency number at the Police Department at 815-436-2341, unless the situation dictates calling 9-1-1.
Snowy Weekend Ahead Snow is in the forecast again this weekend, be sure to follow the Public Works Department on Facebook (Plainfield, IL Public Works) or Twitter (@PlainfieldILPW) for updates on snow plowing. When shoveling, please refrain from shoveling snow into the street. That way, if the plows have passed by already the snow will not freeze and create icy patches on the roadway. |

Mobile Food Pantry The Northern Illinois Food Bank will be holding a Mobile Food Pantry at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 Route 59, on February 9, from 5-6 p.m. Food is free to low income neighbors in need and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
