Meeting Information The Village Board has a meeting on October 19. To view the agenda, click here. Public Comments can be e-mailed to the Village through October 19 at 3 p.m. (Please note Public Comments in the e-mail subject line.) All Village Board Meetings are streamed live on the Village web site (click In Progress when available) and broadcast on Comcast Channel 6 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.
Village Hall To Serve As Will County Early Voting Location The Will County Clerk’s Office will offer early voting at the Village Hall from October 19 through October 30. Voting hours will be Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
During early voting, all Village Departments will continue to operate normally. However, for everyone’s health and safety, the Village Hall reception areas will be closed. For assistance during this time, click here. The Law Enforcement Center and Public Works Department remain open for business as usual.

Small Business Assistance Will County is opening a second round of the Small Business Assistance Program through Will County CARES Act funding. The second round will allow larger businesses to apply with 50 FT employees or $5 million or less in annual gross revenue. The maximum grant is $15,000. Applications open October 19 and the deadline to apply is November 16. Click here for an application link when the second round opens.
Nicor Pipeline Work Nicor Gas, with its contractor NPL, is installing a 10.3-mile segment of 24-inch and 16-inch natural gas transmission pipeline, which includes work in the Village of Plainfield. Nearly all of the installation will take place within the existing utility corridor which will minimize the impacts to residents and businesses along the route. Construction will take place in phases. The final phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. Nicor Gas Pipeline Project Information
National Take Back Initiative Mark your calendar...On Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., the Police Department is participating in the DEA's National Take Back Initiative. This event is for patients and their families to dispose of unwanted medications. Controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter substances will be collected. For more information, click here. |

Vote By Mail Ballot Drop Box The Plainfield Library is a Will County Vote By Mail Ballot Drop Box location. Once you have completed your Vote By Mail ballot, bring it to the Library and drop it in the box at the top of the entryway stairs. The last day to return ballots is Monday, November 2. The Library is open, Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.- 7 p.m., and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday-Saturday. For more info, click here.

Halloween Halloween is Saturday, October 31. Trick-or-treat hours will be 4-8 p.m. Due to COVID-19, the Village is sharing the following Halloween safety guidelines. The Illinois Department of Public Health also released Halloween guidance. |

2020 Census Data collection for the 2020 Census has now ended. Many thanks to everyone who completed their Census form and helped make Plainfield count!
