(PEORIA, IL) On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the 900 block of SW Madison Park following a ShotSpotter alert indicating six rounds had been fired.

While officers were en route, they were advised that a shooting victim had been located in the 2000 block of W. Proctor Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound to her foot. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional injuries were reported.

Officers conducted an area search for a possible suspect with negative results.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
