Agg. Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

(PEORIA, IL) On Monday, September 14, 2026, at approximately 1:06 a.m., Peoria Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Madison Street and Main Street.
Officers made contact with three occupants inside the vehicle. During the traffic stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
A subsequent search resulted in the recovery of a loaded handgun equipped with an extended magazine.
25-year-old Terry Holms was taken into custody and arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of an Ammunition Device, Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition Without a FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Violation of the Concealed Carry Act, and an active warrant.
Holms was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
