Agg. Unlawful Possession of a Weapon/No FOID

(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, September 5, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Peoria Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of North and Main Streets.
During the traffic stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The driver was removed from the vehicle and detained while officers conducted the search.
During the search, officers located a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 24-year-old Kilik E. Wilson, resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody. Wilson was apprehended a short time later without further incident.
Wilson was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, Resisting Arrest, Possession of an Unserialized Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and several traffic violations.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
