(PEORIA, IL) The Peoria Police Department is actively assisting the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office and the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office in locating a wanted subject that should be considered armed and dangerous.
Christopher R. Richerson, a 52-year-old white male, approximately 6’00”, 240 lbs., is currently wanted for Aggravated Battery and Attempted Murder out of Tazewell County.
Through investigative efforts, Richerson’s vehicle was located unoccupied in the area of the 4400 block of N. Carola Court, Peoria, IL. A coordinated search involving Peoria Police officers, a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, and a police drone was conducted in the surrounding wooded area. Despite these efforts, Richerson was not located.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Richerson is encouraged to contact Tazewell County Sheriff’s Detective Austin Johnson at (309) 863-1461, the Peoria Police Department at (309) 673-4521, tip411 (anonymous), or Crime Stoppers at (309) 673-9000.
Richerson should be considered armed and dangerous.
