Peoria Police Department Launches Online Citizen Reporting System (DORS)
(PEORIA, IL) The Peoria Police Department is pleased to announce the launch of its new Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS), an online platform designed to make it easier and more convenient for residents to report certain non-emergency incidents.
The Citizen’s Online Reporting System (DORS) allows community members to submit police reports electronically for specific incident types that do not require the immediate presence of an officer. The system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enhancing accessibility while allowing officers to focus on higher priority calls for service.
“This system provides a fast, secure, and efficient way for our community to document incidents while helping officers dedicate more time to urgent calls that impact public safety,” said Chief Eric Echevarria.
When to Use DORS
Residents should continue to call 9-1-1 for any crime in progress or emergency situation. If there is a known suspect or evidence that needs to be collected, please contact Peoria Police Non-Emergency Dispatch at (309) 673-4521 to request an officer’s response.
Citizens can file reports for the following types:
· Assault (unknown suspect, no domestic relationship) · Battery (no injury, unknown suspect, no domestic relationship) · Burglary from Motor Vehicle · Criminal Damage to Property or Vehicle · Criminal Defacement · Deceptive Practices (supporting documentation required) · Forgery (supporting documentation required) · Gas Station Drive-Offs (for business use only) · Harassment by Telephone or Electronic Communication · Identity Theft · Lost Property · Retail Theft · Theft · Theft of Services · Unlawful Use of Credit/Debit Card · Unlawful Visitation or Parenting Time Interference · Supplemental Reports (adding information to an existing case)
Anonymous Tips
Residents with information on suspected criminal activity or wanted fugitives are encouraged to submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers or tip411.
