Congratulations to R.J. Kuhn Plumbing Heating & Cooling, Inc., the Village’s Economic Development Commission Business of the Month for October.
Founded in 1972 by Dick Kuhn, R.J. Kuhn offers plumbing, heating, air-conditioning and remodeling services to the Oswego community and Chicagoland area. Dick’s sons Rick and Kevin took over the business in 2012 and continue the company's commitment to excellence, ethics, customer satisfaction and unwavering integrity.
Throughout its 50 years in business, R.J. Kuhn Plumbing, Heating & Cooling has been active in the Oswego community as an Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce member and sponsors numerous civic events.

The Village's free leaf collection program began this week (October 16) in Zones A and B and starts the week of October 21 for Zone C.
For the best service, place leaves in piles on the parkway grass near the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. Do not rake leaves into the street.

Don't miss an opportunity to meet local police officers and firefighters this Saturday, October 21 at the Public Safety Open House, 3355 Woolley Road.
Stop by from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for interactive activities and learn about safety while having a great time. Experience a live fire demonstration, obstacle course and jail cell visits. Learn more.

The Village’s Fall Clean-up collection begins the week of November 13. Set out additional household waste, bulk items such as couches and dressers, and yard waste on your regularly scheduled garbage day. Stickers are not needed, but yard waste must be placed in Kraft bags.

The Village's trick-or-treating hours are 3:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31.
Please ensure that children trick-or-treat during this timeframe. Stay safe and only visit houses with the front door lights on. If you choose not to participate in handing out treats, turn off your front door lights.
Get warmed up for Halloween with Oswego Downtown Association's Trick-or-Treat event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 28.

Catch the holiday spirit at this year's Christmas Walk presented by Allied First Bank on Friday, December 1. Bring the whole family for this hometown event that transforms downtown Oswego into a winter wonderland.
Free and festive activities will delight visitors of all ages. Listen to holiday tunes, watch ice sculpting, slide down a giant inflatable hill, sip hot cocoa and view the emergency vehicle light parade.
