Celebrate Independence Day as Oswego sets off its annual fireworks display for the community! This event will take place at Prairie Point Park on Tuesday, July 4 at dusk, which is expected to be about 9:30 p.m. The rain date is July 5. Prairie Point Park is located at 4120 Plainfield Road.
All attendees are encouraged to park at Traughber Junior High School, Eastview Academy, Prairie Point Elementary and Oswego High School. Accessible parking will be available off Plank Drive in front of the school district’s bus transportation lot along with additional spots at Prairie Point Park off of Grove Road. Additional parking and traffic restrictions will be in place. Get more information on traffic and parking.
As a reminder, lighting unauthorized fireworks is illegal and violators will be subject to fines.
Please note that Village Hall will be closed on July 4 and garbage collection will be delayed by one day after the holiday.

Village President Ryan Kauffman at Tuesday’s Village Board meeting nominated Karen Novy as Trustee to fill the vacancy following the resignation of Trustee Luis Perez.

The National Park Service has designated a new recreational water trail that travels through the Village of Oswego. The Fabulous Fox! Water Trail encompasses 158 miles with over 70 access points on the Fox River from southeast Wisconsin through Ottawa, Illinois. Oswego’s access points along the Fox River include Hudson Crossing Park, Saw-Wee-Kee Park and Violet Patch Park.
The initiative encourages people to explore the National Trails System and engage in a range of recreational water activities such as kayaking and fishing. Oswego stands to benefit from the designation with additional visitors exploring the Fox River and discovering our charming downtown.
Celebrate this national distinction by going on an adventure along the Fabulous Fox! Water Trail this summer.

The next free concert on July 6 features a band that will electrify your night! Hillbilly Rockstarz, a country super group from Chicago, will cover the latest and greatest songs in country, rock and pop. Hear songs from Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Bon Jovi and Luke Bryan.
Hillbilly Rockstarz performs July 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Relive the 90's with Boy Band Review on July 15! Featuring music by BTS, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and New Kids on the Block, this band has the “Right Stuff." Head out to Venue 1012 to sing and dance to 90’s throwbacks and modern hits.
Pack your lawn chairs and bring your family for an exciting night. Soda, cold beer, hard seltzer and wine will be available for purchase, along with your favorite foods from local food vendors. No outside food and beverages are allowed at this event.
Venue 1012 opens at 6 p.m. and Boy Band Review plays from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 for ages 13 & up; $10 active-duty military/veterans. Kids 12 & under are always free. Don't wait, purchase your tickets now!

Beverage tent volunteers are needed for Thursday and Saturday concerts at Venue 1012. You'll have fun and get to enjoy live music while you serve cold beverages. Volunteers must be 21+ to sell beer, wine, soda and bottled water.
Reserve your volunteer spot with your friends for Hillbilly Rockstarz on July 6 and Boy Band Review on July 15 to enjoy awesome music, all while serving the community.

Working in the yard over the holiday weekend? The Village will offer free brush collection in Zone A on July 10 and Zone B on July 17.
