Meet new Village President Ryan Kauffman May 20

Meet and take a walk with new Village President Ryan Kauffman at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at Prairie Point Park to work on your fitness. A nationwide program, Move with the Mayor works with elected officials to help improve residents’ health and raise awareness about the benefits of physical activity.

After the walk, join President Kauffman for refreshments at 2 p.m. in Prairie Point Park's main shelter. To RSVP, call 630-551-2344 or email Julie Hoffman.

To help recognize National Drinking Water Week, Oswego has released its 2022 Annual Water Quality Report. The Village’s water system received an exceptional rating after the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency conducted an evaluation in 2022.

The Village was commended on its exemplary facility maintenance, as well as the professionalism of Public Works employees. Thanks to the entire Public Works team that works hard every day to provide quality drinking water. View the report here: www.oswegoil.org/waterquality

Plan now for Memorial Day weekend fun

Grab your cowboy boots and kick-start your Memorial Day weekend with Country Bash-Oswego Honors Veterans on Saturday, May 27 from 2:30 to 10 p.m. at Venue 1012. Headliner Whiskeyfist will perform the hottest country hits along with Southern and classic rock favorites. Grab a cold beer or glass of wine (available onsite) and start the evening with the Alika Arlynn Band and Tim Gleason Band. Tickets are free for veterans and active duty military and cost $20 for ages 13 & up. Children 12 & under are always free. Learn more and buy ahead of time.

On Sunday, May 28 at 2:30 p.m., return to Venue 1012 and listen to patriotic favorites such as Stars and Stripes Forever and the Star Spangled Banner at the free Tribute to Veterans concert with Springbrook's Oswego Pops Orchestra and world champion bagpiper Dave Johnston. Residents are welcome to participate in the Oswego Community Yard Sale on Friday, June 2 and June 3. If you'd like to host a sale on either or both days, register by 5 p.m. on May 22. The Village helps promote the sale by placing a print ad in the Oswego Ledger with lists of neighborhoods and addresses.

The cost to register is $8.00, which helps offset the Village's advertising costs. Follow the steps on this page to sign up.

Outstanding weekend at Wine on the Fox

Despite weather predictions, the sunshine was as plentiful as the wine selections at Wine on the Fox presented by john greene Realtor this past weekend. More than 4,000 people came out to enjoy this popular event set among spring blooms on the Fox River.
