Swearing-in ceremony for new officials May 2

The new Village President and Yrustees will be sworn in on Tuesday, May 2 at Village Hall. The community is invited to attend the reception at 5:30 p.m. and ceremony at 6:00 p.m. A special Village Board Meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Board meetings are always open to the public and comments are welcome at the beginning of each meeting. Attend the Special Village Board meeting in person or watch online.

Sip and mingle along the Fox River

Bring the whole family to Wine on the Fox presented by john greene Realtor on May 6 & 7. Admission is free with an opportunity to listen to live music and taste local specialties from food trucks. There's plenty of room to spread out a picnic blanket and watch the kids have fun on the playground or have their faces painted.

Hydrant flushing

Public Works crews will start flushing fire hydrants on May 1 and continue through June 2. Why release all of that water into the streets? Hydrant flushing clears sediment from the lines and helps ensure proper water pressure to hydrants for emergencies.

Look for signs at the entrance to your neighborhood and avoid washing clothes while crews are working in your area.

Zone B brush collection

Public Works will start free brush collection on May 8 for Zone B. Check out the Brush Zone Collection Map to identify your zone.

For the best service, place all brush at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday morning of the designated week for your zone.
