Wolfs Crossing project kicks off April 3
After many years of planning, the first phase of the Wolfs Crossing improvement project will begin on April 3. The multi-phase project will transform Wolfs Crossing into a four-lane road to help ease traffic congestion, improve safety and accommodate growth.
To start, Wolfs Crossing will be widened to four lanes from east of the entrance to Oswego East High School to east of Devoe Drive, and the four-way stop-controlled intersection of Wolfs Crossing and Harvey Road will be replaced by a modern roundabout.
Work will kick off on April 3 with the closure of Wolfs Crossing between Harvey Road and Route 30 for work at the intersection of Devoe Drive and Wolfs Crossing. Detours will be posted along the route.
There are still tickets available for the Oswego Downtown Business Association/Chamber of Commerce's annual Bunny Hop on Saturday, April 1. Get a commemorative Bunny Hop tote bag with a coloring activity and a pass to "hop" around downtown businesses to collect special treats.
The weather has been chilly to work in the yard, but temperatures will start warming up in the next few weeks. Take advantage of the Village's spring clean-up and free yard waste collection the week of April 10.
Want to start sooner? Groot starts picking up yard waste the week of April 3 on your regular waste collection day. Make sure to place landscape waste in Kraft paper bags with stickers affixed.
