Illinois Business Interruption Grants Round 2

Applications open Sept. 17

The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will begin accepting applications for the second round of its Business Interruption Grants tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 17.

The grants offer up to $20,000 for small businesses hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. Only certain categories of Oswego businesses have priority to receive assistance, specifically those in heavily impacted industries such as theaters, venues, and indoor amusement parks, however, small businesses in all industries are eligible to apply. This money will not need to be paid back.

Please visit the DCEO's Business Interruption Grant page for more information and to apply.

We encourage small business owners to check immediately to see if you qualify as this program is expected to be popular and will likely be first-come, first-served.

Businesses will apply directly through the state for this program. If you have questions or need assistance, the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Waubonsee Community College is a local resource available to answer your questions. Contact them at (630) 906-4143 or email sbdc@waubonsee.edu
