In January of 2023, the Village began upgrading all water meters within incorporated Orland Park.
As part of the Village's Water Meter Replacement Program, the Village has teamed up with it's contracted installer, Professional Meters Inc, to upgrade all water meters within incorporated Orland Park by the fall of 2024. Many meters across Orland Park are at or nearing the end of their life cycle.
Click the button below to view a video on what to expect from the program:

ZONES
To help with a smooth process, the Village of Orland Park has been divided into six zones. Meter replacement has begun in Zone 1 in January of 2023 and will continue until completion. Afterwards, Professional Meters Inc will move on to zone 2.
Zone 1 is in the North East corner of Orland Park.
This zone is located between: La Grange Road - Harlem Ave. & 127th Street - 143rd Street

SCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT
When PMI has moved to your zone, you will receive a postcard in the mail. Follow the instructions on the postcard to set up an appointment online or over the phone using the URL or phone number listed on the card.
_______________________________
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Your cooperation will be needed to implement this program. The Village of Orland Park Water Department has engaged PMI, Inc. to manage the Water Meter Replacement Program and to perform the meter replacement work. There is no cost to you.
Access into your residence will be necessary, so appointments for the meter installations will be required.
-
You will receive a mailed postcard notification from PMI, Inc., in conjunction with the Village, prior to meter installers arriving in your neighborhood. This notification will include a phone number to call as well as a website where you can set up an appointment for your meter to be replaced.
-
This is a mandatory water meter replacement project. The Village and PMI, Inc. are working to make this as convenient as possible for residents and businesses.
-
Meters will be replaced by neighborhood. To determine if/when your neighborhood will be on track for service, please visit the Village website at orlandpark.org/waterinfo and click the “zones” tab.
-
The replacement of the meters will require access to your residence or business, as nearly all meters are located inside. Please ensure the area around the water meter is accessible.
-
An adult who is over the age of 18 must be present at all meter replacement appointments, which should take approximately 30 minutes.
-
The new meters will transmit water usage data wirelessly to the Village in the same way as existing meters. They present no health or data security risks.
- If the water meter in your home was recently replaced, it will not require replacement at this time.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
