Oak Park Sculpture Walk on display
This year’s Oak Park Sculpture Walk is in full swing with 17 sculptures on display as part of an outdoor exhibit spread across two locations. From bold and thought-provoking to whimsical and inspiring, each piece celebrates the creativity and imagination that thrives in Oak Park. The sculptures will be on display through next spring in the Downtown Oak Park business district in the vicinity of Lake Street and Marion Street, and the Oak Park Arts District along Harrison Street. Organized by the Oak Park Area Arts Council and funded by the Village, this annual public art tradition features sculptures chosen through a juried competition. Download the free Otocast app to access information about the sculptures and hear descriptions of the work by the artists. For more information, contact info@oakparkareaartscouncil.org.

File non-emergency police reports online
A non-emergency incident report can now be filed online through the Oak Park Police Department's new Police to Citizen portal. The online tool can be used for instances that involve theft, lost property or damaged property. Some examples include package delivery theft, graffiti on your property or items stolen from your garage or vehicle. The portal is not intended for situations where an injury occurred or a weapon was involved as those types of incidents require an in-person police report. Officials remind community members to always call 911 in an emergency.

This National Breastfeeding Month, the Oak Park Public Health Department is working to support and encourage parents who are on their breastfeeding journey. All baby feeding practices, whether formula, donor milk, pumped breastmilk, breastfeeding or a combination of these methods, help give infants the nutrition they need. For any parents breastfeeding, public health officials acknowledge there can be struggles along the way. The good news is there are local resources to help. Click here for a list of resources from the Collaboration for Early Childhood.
