E.C.H.O. strives to enhance community safety
The Village recently launched the initial phase of its E.C.H.O. program, an innovative initiative designed to enhance community safety and well-being by offering compassionate responses to non-emergency and low-risk calls for service through 911 dispatch. E.C.H.O., which stands for Engaging Community for Healthy Outcomes, reflects Oak Park’s commitment to reimagining public safety and meeting the diverse needs of our neighbors. A cornerstone of the E.C.H.O. program is Community Care Navigation that provides follow-up services and support for residents in need.

Additionally, the Village received a Growth Award for the 18th time for continuing to grow its forestry program.
