 Due to fire flow testing throughout the Village on Tuesday, July 2, residents may temporarily experience discolored water. Should you experience discoloration of your water, run a cold water tap until the water runs clear. Residents may also wish to avoid doing laundry until the flow testing is complete, by the end of the day.
 Celebrate at the July 3 Festival and Fireworks with Lemont Park District
Celebrate with the Lemont Park District on July 3 from 4 PM -10 PM at Centennial Park: • 4:00 p.m. - DJ, food vendors, beer booth opens, kids zone opens • 4:30 p.m. - Encore (Students performance on stage) • 6:00 p.m. - Petty Ca$h Band • 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. Event ends immediately after fireworks display has ended.
As always, please watch for signs of road closures and detours and follow information from public safety staff and the Lemont Police Department.
Parking Information and Detours Parking is allowed on one side of the street on Eagle Crest, Leinster, Acorn, Cypress and Emerald for the July 3rd Celebration at the Lemont Park District. However, after 9pm, the exits to 127th from these roads will be closed and all traffic will be directed southbound to Connacht to exit at Munster to State St. Right turn only onto State St.
As a reminder, the traffic leaving the main park district entrance at the end of the night must turn right on 127th. All traffic leaving the Old Quarry parking lot must turn left or go straight.

 Nicor Project in the Metra Lot will begin July 8
Nicor is expected to begin natural gas main work in the Metra lot July 8 - August 18. The project will begin in the west end of the Metra lot and move to various locations in stages. During the project, construction materials and equipment may be staged in and around the construction area, so please use caution when parking.
Parking will still be available for commuters in the lot during the project and for use during events like Cruise Nights.

Grab your tiaras and capes and muster up all of the magic and courage that you can! The Princess & Hero Walk hosted by Three Stories Books returns to Lemont Downtown on Sunday, July 14 from 12-3PM!

 Save the Date for Keepataw Day 2024
Named in honor of Potawatomi Chief Keepataw, whose nomad tribe settled in the region near what is now Lemont, the event began as a downtown Lemont festival in 1950, eventually adding a parade.
Today, Lemont Keepataw Day organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit that focuses on the arts, humanities, and culture that is focused on highlighting the work of our community service volunteer and other non-profit organizations.
