Celebrate the Season with Fall on Canal
The popular outdoor market nestled in charming historic Lemont Downtown is on Sunday, October 1, from 9 AM -3 PM! The vibrant market features the best local vintage peddlers and handmade artists. Enjoy shopping with friends and family alongside food, live music, and tons of great photo ops.
As the market kicks off, join local yoga teacher Nicole Schneider for Yoga in the Park at 9 AM. The class is open to all skill-levels and Vinyasa styles. Reserve your free spot here.

 Lemont Unlocked is Back on Sunday, October 8
Unlock a piece of local history during Lemont Unlocked on Sunday, October 8, from 2-5 PM.
You'll start at Village Hall, meeting volunteers and grabbing the full list of sites! From there, you'll have access to self-guided tours of all the places you've wondered about.
New Locations include The Inn at Smokey Row (Smokey Row Antique Shop), the Old Stone Church and Lemont Area Historical Society and Museum, Pollyanna Brewing Company, and Hennebry Hall at SALON 312! Enjoy some favorites from last year including the Blue Church and Jail Cells at Village Hall.
Spend the afternoon discovering hidden gems and learning more about local history, architecture, and folklore.
Enjoy the Lemont Farmers Market on Tuesdays This Fall
Enjoy the last few Lemont Farmers Markets of the season this October. Every Tuesday from 4-7 PM, you'll find a farmers forward market in Village Green Park. Residents are loving the live music, fresh produce, handcrafted staples, delicious bites from pop-up restaurants and connecting with friendly faces around town.
The latest addition of string lights makes this the perfect place to reconnect with friends, enjoy a date night, or hang with the kids after school. Bring along your picnic blankets, chairs, and tables for a fun evening in Lemont Downtown with your neighbors and family.

Make Saturday a Metra Day
Metra Rail is currently offering a special Saturday service with three roundtrip stops on the Heritage Corridor Line. Invite your friends from Chicago and along the Heritage Corridor Line to enjoy a day in Lemont -- especially with our Fall Event lineup.
Each train is equipped with Metra's new bike cars to carry extra bikes. Use the Metra to explore Chicago or invite your friends, family, and visitors from the city to check out Illinois' best suburb and hit the Centennial Trail!

Art on the Green is Next Weekend
Join the Art & Culture Commission of Lemont for the Inaugural Art on the Green in Lemont Downtown on October 7-8, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
In celebration of National Arts & Humanities Month, the two-day art event will showcase local artists who will be displaying and selling their work. Make your way to Lemont Downtown to find some lovely local art to decorate your home or office.

 LEAC Fall Household Recycling Event
The Lemont Environmental Advisory Commission is excited to bring back the Fall Recycling Program on October 14, 2023 from 9AM - 1PM in the Metra Lot in downtown Lemont. Start collecting your batteries, light bulbs, electronics, prescription medication, documents, printer ink, and more for the recycling day! Residents may also drop of unexpired and shelf-stable food for collection to the local food pantries!
