LHS Alumni Association Seeking "Hall of Fame" Nominations
Lemont High School is seeking nominations for its Alumni Hall of Fame, which recognizes graduates who have made significant contributions to society and serve as role models to Lemont High School students. This recognition is the highest honor that can be given by Lemont High School to one of its alumni. Nominations should be submitted by October 7, 2023.

Walking Tour of Heritage Quarries and I&M Canal
The tour first begins at the gazebo on the canal, near the end of the new Heritage Quarries parking lot. Your group and guide will walk along the I&M Canal on the way to view three quarries. On the tour you will learn about the construction and use of the I&M Canal and see the ruins of a brick kiln.
The history of Lemont limestone, the quarry industry and its workers will be covered as you view three beautiful spring-fed quarries. You may even see small mammals and waterfowl along the route. Historical photos of canal boats, quarry equipment and workers, will be shown to give you a sense of the hustle and bustle of the canal and quarries in their heyday.

  Lemontster Days Fun Begins September 24 Celebrate Halloween Lemont-Style!
Lemontster Days, the series of annual Halloween celebrations all over town, kicks off early this year, on September 24, starting with events like the Scarecrow Fest, Monster and Me Mile Run, and continues with the Spirits of the Limestone Ghost Tour, Witches Walk, Halloween Hoedown, and tons of opportunities for Halloween fun throughout the entire month of October. Check it out! There's fun for all ages!
  Pollyanna's Oktoberfest at The Forge Saturday, September 24 | 2:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Oktoberfest is calling! Pollyanna Brewing Company's Oktoberfest at The Forge: Lemont Quarries is happening this Saturday, September 24 from 2-11 PM. It's the perfect time to check out new beer flavors, enjoy live music, and all the Oktoberfest treats.
Parking is limited at the Forge so take advantage of the free shuttle buses in the Lemont Metra Lot, Lemont High School Lot, and the Pollyanna Parking Lot.
Tickets are $10 during the pre-sale and $15 at the door!
