Planning a Home Construction Project Soon?
Just a reminder, permits are required for new construction, remodeling, and grading changes. Permits are also required for fences, sheds, decks, pools, sprinkling systems, garages, patios, siding, etc. Various other improvements may also require permits. The Building Department should be contacted prior to starting any work to inquire whether a permit is needed.
Permit Applications are available by stopping by the Building Department, 418 Main Street, Lemont, and/or online in the Building Department section on the Village website, https://www.lemont.il.us/Building. For questions and/or further information, contact the Building Department at 630-257-1580.
A Certificate of Appropriateness is required, in addition to a Building Permit, for any exterior alteration, remodeling, new construction or demolition of residential structures within the Lemont Historic District.
🍂 LANDSCAPE WASTE COLLECTION 🍂 RESUMES APRIL 1
🌿 Yard waste such as grass clippings and leaves should be placed in Kraft-type biodegradable paper bags. Cans cannot be used. Residents with large yard waste needs may rent a 96-gallon yard waste cart for the season which holds the equivalent of three 30-gallon Kraft bags.
Brush must be cut into 4 foot sections and bundled. Branches may not exceed 4 ft. in length or 4 inches in diameter. They must be tied with biodegradable string or twine in bundles not to exceed 50 pounds.
THESE ITEMS WILL BE PICKED UP ON YOUR REGULAR PICK UP DAY FROM APRIL 1 THROUGH NOVEMBER 30.

Hope and Friendship Foundation High School Senior Scholarship Challenge for 2022 is here – The Hope and Friendship Scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior who lives in Lemont.
Funds can be used for furthering education, or trade school costs.
