Sidney Mathias, District 20

December 31, 2014

Greetings Neighbors,

I am the new representative for District 20. It is an honor and privilege to be selected as your board member and forest preserve representative. As a former state legislator, mayor, civic leader, and retired attorney, I look forward to putting my experience to work on behalf of District 20 and Lake County over the next two years.

I will be sending this bi-monthly email newsletter to keep residents up to date on County news, transportation information, severe weather alerts, and more. Please forward this to your friends and neighbors to help me reach as many people as possible. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions, or concerns at (847) 377-2300 or by email.

Sincerely,

Sidney Mathias
Lake County Board Member, District 20

Don’t Crowd the Plow

Plow

The Lake County Division of Transportation plows over 800 lane miles of highways utilizing 25 snow routes. When approaching a plow truck stay back at least 50 ft. or 2-3 car lengths, due to road conditions and so our plow operators can see your vehicles. Lake County DOT snowplow operators are extremely safety conscious, but we need your help. Stay back and let us safely do our job of cleaning the road for you. Don’t take a chance. Don’t crowd the plow! Watch this video about safety tips when driving this winter.
