Enter Lake County's Create-A-Sign Contest
Do you know a middle school student with artistic talent and a desire to make a difference in their community?
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) invites students in grades 6-8 to participate in the Create-A-Sign Contest, part of Envision 2050, Lake County's Long Range Transportation Plan.
Students are encouraged to design an original sign that promotes safe walking and biking habits and highlights the importance of transportation safety in their community.
This opportunity gives students a platform to share their ideas, express themselves through art and contribute to an ongoing conversation about transportation safety in Lake County’s future.
Contest Details:
- When: September 14 to October 19
- Who: Lake County students, grades 6-8
- What: Create an original sign that promotes safe transportation habits using any artistic medium
First, second and third place sign designs, as well as honorable mentions, will be given their own ribbons to celebrate their achievement. The winning design will be created by LCDOT in our shop.
Students and families can visit the Envision 2050 Public Engagement website to download contest templates, review contest requirements, access additional resources and submit an entry.
