Zion, IL- The Canadian Pacific Railway has informed the Lake County Division of Transportation that it will be closing the railroad crossing on Russell Road for repairs. The closure of the crossing will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 24. The road is scheduled to reopen during the late afternoon on Friday, August 28.
Detour Route: Kilbourne Road to IL 173 to US 41
Local traffic will be allowed from Kilbourne Road west to the railroad crossing and from US 41 east to the railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
