Lake County Central Permit Facility Closed Today Due to HVAC Outage
Due to an unexpected HVAC outage and today's high temperatures, the Lake County Central Permit Facility, located at 500 W Winchester Road, Libertyville, is closed for the rest of the day, July 14. As a result, in-person services at the Lake County Planning, Building and Development Department, Lake County Health Department - Environmental Health and the Stormwater Management Commission are unavailable for the remainder of the day.
Residents and customers can still apply for permits and pay invoices online. However, the Environmental Laboratory, which conducts water sample testing, is closed today, and the Planning, Building and Development Department's main phone line is also unavailable.
Lake County is actively working to restore the HVAC system. The Central Permit Facility is expected to reopen on Wednesday, July 15, and normal in-person services are anticipated to resume at that time.
