Lake County Seeks Applicants for the Board of Health
The Lake County Board is accepting applications from qualified individuals interested in serving on the Lake County Board of Health.
The Board of Health provides policy direction and oversight for the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, helping shape the policies and priorities that prevent disease and promote the health and well-being of all who live, work and play in Lake County.
Current Vacancies Lake County is seeking applicants who meet the statutory qualifications (55 ILCS 5/5-25012) for the following three-year appointments:
- One resident with experience in the field of mental health
- One physician licensed to practice medicine in Illinois
- Two residents with an interest in public health
The Board of Health meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month. Meetings take place at the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, 3010 Grand Avenue, Waukegan.
Qualified individuals with a commitment to public service and an interest in advancing community health are encouraged to apply.
Applications to serve on the Board of Health can be completed through this online application form and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31. Applicants should select the Lake County Board of Health as their first or second choice.
