Revive Lake County Express Pilot

Revive Lake County is a 3-week program providing returning citizens with
the skills needed to ensure success in the labor force. Please join us at 1

Meet with a Job Center representative one-on-one to work on the next steps in your career. Choose from a menu of custom services when you register.

Basic Computer Skills Course

Offered by the Lake County Digital Growth Initiative.

Take a Learn to Earn Basic Computer class this month! Participants who attend all classes in their course may earn a laptop to take home. Registration in advance is required and residents must meet specific eligibility requirements.

Caring Through Adversity; Succeeding Through Support

Crystal is passionate about care giving but did not believe that she had time or resources to complete medical certification.  When she learned that a grant could cover the cost of training, she contacted the Job Center of Lake County and immediately applied.  She graduated with a Nurse Assisting Certificate from the College of Lake County in December 2025 and now works at a hospital. 

CEJA Waukegan Workforce Hub

Illinois is expanding its clean energy workforce! You can join a training program to begin a career in clean energy or get support to grow your clean energy business. Participation in CEJA makes a participant an “Equity Eligible Person”, which can make them highly sought after by some clean energy companies. These programs are part of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA). The CEJA Workforce Programs are funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) through the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act.
