Feeling overwhelmed by online job applications or searching for information online? Join us for dedicated support in our accessible computer lab. Access company websites, navigate job boards, and complete online job applications with confidence. Our Digital Navigator can guide you through the process, answering your questions about computer basics, internet usage, and navigating online platforms. This is a walk-in service, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
When: Thursdays 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Join speaker, Scott Kane with Gray Hair Management to provide strategies and tips to getting hired after 50.
Knowing that the older you get, the more difficult it is to find meaningful employment, this presentation will help you better understand how to use your experience and seasoning to find that next opportunity faster.
It will include a discussion on:
- Establishing yourself as the solution to a company’s need.
- Using the first 10 seconds of your resume to attract attention,
- Improving your interview skills.
- Enhancing your online presence.

 Career Transition for Military Veterans

The Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) pilot program is an opportunity for veterans, veterans currently serving in the National Guard and Reserve, and their spouses to take control of their career through workshops to help meet their employment goals. OBTT provides employment preparation, education and opportunities that allow attendees to maximize their career potential.

 Career Pathway In Manufacturing

Israel’s journey demonstrates how the collaborative efforts of Lake County Workforce Development, the College of Lake County, and a local employer can support career transitions and professional growth. He initially entered the manufacturing sector through a paid work experience, gaining valuable hands-on skills. With financial assistance from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Israel also earned an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, graduating in May 2025. Today, he is a Quality Engineer, applying his education and experience to ensure high standards in manufacturing processes and contributing to the success of his employer.
