Wadsworth, IL - The Canadian Pacific Railroad has informed the Lake County Division of Transportation that it will be closing the railroad crossing on Wadsworth Road east of the Des Plaines River to conduct repairs. The closure will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, and the road is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of the day.
Detour Route: U.S. Route 41 (Skokie Highway) to IL 173 (Rosecrans Road) to Kilbourne Road. Local traffic will be allowed from US 41 to the railroad crossing and from Kilbourne Road to the railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
