Job Center On The Move

Meet with a Job Center representative one-on-one to work on the next steps in your career. Choose from a menu of custom services when you register.

Empowering Older Workers: Community Workers: Community Organizations Boost Workforce Skills

Dalonda transitioned from a manufacturing job to a position as a Benefits Access Clerk with Waukegan Township.  Along the way, she worked with multiple community organizations in Lake County, completing her high school equivalency degree and training to work in an office position.  She assists seniors and individuals with disabilities to file for benefits and says that she tries to do a little extra for each customer.
