SMC HOA Webinar

Attend the 2024 Homeowner Association Vendor Expo and Hybrid Workshop this Thursday, 9/12!

In just a matter of days, our Homeowners Association Workshop will be here! Join us on Sept. 12 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in person at the Central Permit Facility in Libertyville or virtually. This year’s event will feature not only knowledgeable speakers, but a vendor expo as an extra component to inform our in-person attendees starting at 4:30 p.m. At the expo, vendors can provide information connected to designing, installing and maintaining detention ponds, wetlands and natural areas.

The Workshop will feature eight speakers at five informational sessions. The first session will discuss HOA responsibilities connected to subdivision drainage systems. Tips will be shared on how to create and implement management plans for drainage systems, steps to the permit process and how to seek assistance. Another session will discuss how your HOA can find funding for stormwater projects in your neighborhood, featuring speaker Kurt Woolford, Executive Director of the Stormwater Management Commission.

A HOA case study will also be shared about how to successfully address a lake’s immediate health challenges while creating a long-term, sustainable health program for the body of water under your HOA’s responsibility. They will cover topics like establishing private/public partnerships and working together to balance the needs of HOA members, the environment and the broader community.

Our Homeowners Association Workshop will also feature time for questions and answers after each session to allow attendees to get the most information possible about each topic to assist your HOA.

Join us to learn about these topics and more from our knowledgeable speakers and vendors on Thursday, Sept. 12 starting at 4:30 p.m. Register now to save your spot!
