Representatives from the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) and the Consultant Team will be present to address questions and to hear your input.
This meeting will be accessible to individuals with disabilities. Anyone needing special assistance should contact Chuck Gleason, LCDOT Phase I Project Manager at 847-377-7447 at least five days prior to the meeting.
Presented materials will be available on the project website within a few days after the meeting.
Reasons for the Study
Addressing traffic congestion and improving safety are two of our top priorities. Four highly traveled regional highways converging to this area, frequent trains and three closely spaced intersections along Old McHenry Road have led to high traffic volumes and delays. Approximately 25,000 vehicles pass through the corridor each day and nearly 370 crashes have occurred in this area over the last five years. Watch this video to learn more.
Project Timeline
This project will span multiple years of planning, coordination, and design before construction begins. Ensure you stay up to date by signing up for project updates at omxproject.com.
