 Career Transition for Military Veterans

The Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) pilot program is an opportunity for veterans, veterans currently serving in the National Guard and Reserve, and their spouses to take control of their career through workshops to help meet their employment goals. OBTT provides employment preparation, education and opportunities that allow attendees to maximize their career potential.

Empowering Service Member to Transition with Confidence
The DOD SkillBridge program provides Active Military Service Members with valuable civilian work experience to bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers. Vina, an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Airforce, utilized this program to intern with the Lake County State’s Attorney Juvenile Justice Division. Vina encourages other transitioning military members to leverage SkillBridge, embrace new opportunities, and adapt to new plans for a successful future.

Success Job Fair Held in June |

On June 12th, 2024, Lake County Workforce Development hosted the Annual Hire Lake County Round Lake Beach Job Fair. The event, which strategically targeted a community with a high unemployment rate, included 37 employers and achieved a record attendance of 432 registered jobseekers.
