Dear Neighbors,

I hope you are all well and enjoying this spring-like February weather!

Last week, I was pleased to attend the National Association of Counties (NACo) Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. As Vice Chair of the Special Committee on Broadband, I’m proud that NACo featured our Broadband Committee’s Digital Equity Action Plan at the conference. I hope our pioneering work will guide other counties working on this issue.

I look forward to implementing our Digital Equity Action Plan in the coming years. This plan has been a team effort. Congratulations to Chair Jennifer Clark, our fellow committee members, and staff members Matt Meyers and Elizabeth Brandon.

I was delighted to attend the Celebration of Black History at Warren-Newport Public Library last weekend. Congratulations to the library and the performers and participants who made that standing-room-only event special.

As a member of the Public Works and Transportation Committee, I’m pleased our Public Works Department has begun work on the water main replacement for the Allen Farms Subdivision. Details are below, including a link to learn more about the project.

I hope you enjoy this beautiful day!
