Many Lake County Government Offices Closing at Noon on January 12
Lake County government offices will be closed on Friday, Jan. 12 beginning at noon due to significant weather impacting Lake County and the surrounding area. Lake County offices will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 16
The county will be open for essential services and emergency operations.

Lake County Health Department health centers and offices will close at noon today and remain closed tomorrow. All residential programs and buildings will remain open both today and Saturday.

Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court Operations Modification
Effective at noon on January 12, Lake County courts will hear those cases previously scheduled and emergency matters in First Appearance Court (T020) and Domestic Violence Court (T511). Other than completing previously scheduled cases in the Mundelein Branch Court, the courthouses in Park City and Round Lake Beach, as well as the Juvenile Courts in Vernon Hills, will be closed.
It is requested that parties coming to court on January 12 utilize the Criminal Court Tower entrance at 301 Washington Street, Waukegan.
First Appearance Court (T020) will be conducted as scheduled on Saturday, January 13, and Sunday, January 14. Monday, January 15, is a designated court holiday; thus, the court will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, January 16.
High winds are expected to lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility throughout the day and into Saturday.
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) has snow plow crews on the road for a full-day event. Please take it slow and drive carefully if you plan to head out this weekend. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.
