Canceled: Lake County Committee of the Whole Meeting
The Lake County Board Committee of the Whole meeting scheduled for today, January 12 has been canceled due to winter weather conditions. The Board will meet next at its monthly Lake County Board meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16.
A winter storm began moving through the area during the early morning hours. Snowfall rates upwards of 1 to 2 inches/hour are occurring, which has led to snow-covered roads. High winds are expected to lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility throughout the day.
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) has snow plow crews on the road for a full-day event. Please take it slow and drive carefully if you plan to head out this weekend. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. Our team will do whatever we can to get roads cleared as soon as possible.
