Hunt Club Road at Washington Street Intersection Update
The Lake County Division of Transportation is getting ready to improve the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Washington Street in 2024. Expect to see crews out this winter conducting necessary work such as utility relocation and tree clearing in preparation for the construction season.
The improvement will address overall safety and traffic operations by adding dual left-turn lanes and a right-turn lane on all legs of the intersection. The intersection will feature crosswalks with sidewalk ramps designed to ADA standards, and additional stormwater detention and conveyance systems will be installed to address drainage issues.
As part of this project, the bike path gap just east of the intersection will be completed and a new path will be installed from Washington Street north to Dada Drive as shown on this map.
