North Avenue Railroad Crossing Repair: POSTPONED

Antioch, IL - The Canadian National Railway railroad crossing repairs on North Avenue, originally scheduled for Aug. 7 - Aug. 10, has been postponed until further notice.

The Canadian National Railway, Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT), and Village of Antioch are in close coordination to address concerns after the railroad tracks at this location were repaired earlier in 2023. This repair is being postponed, allowing for additional engineering evaluation to be completed.

LCDOT will continue to work closely in the coming weeks with the Canadian National Railway and the Village of Antioch to implement a solution. In addition to addressing the roadway ride quality, drainage and sidewalk repairs may also be needed to match the modified railroad crossing. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding.
