Antioch, IL- The Canadian National Railway has informed the Lake County Division of Transportation that it will close the railroad crossing on North Avenue for necessary crossing repairs. The closure of the crossing will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 7. North Avenue will reopen to through traffic the morning of Thursday, August 10, weather permitting.
DETOUR ROUTE: IL 83, to IL 173, to Deep Lake Road. Local traffic will be allowed from IL 83 to the railroad crossing and from Deep Lake Road west to the railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
